There are some things that take my day from a regular day to a really inspired and  beautiful day. I have been fortunate that everyday of my life is filled with these little inspirations and gratitude.

One of these little things is hearing about success stories from people who use the Silva method. I want to express my gratitude to this lady who was kind enough to send me this email, as well as all the other people who share their success stories with me and the Silva Community.

A Letter From Stacy

Dear Silva,

I recently tried the Silva Life System and I love it. My story doesn’t start there, though. In fact it spans two generations.  My mother was a Silva practitioner for many years and sent me to the youth class in 1984- I was in the fourth grade.  I used the techniques off and on for many years- especially for sleep.

This past fall I went through a devastating break-up. I had hit the end point of fatigue and depression that were result of a severe B12 deficiency.  I decided to take control of my life and go back to my roots and really delve into Silva.  I ordered the cds and bought the book.

I used the meditations to calm my spirit and wash away depression and increase my physical and mental energy. I learned to forgive and to cope.

The way my story spans generations is with my mother. My mother has MS and is now in the final stages of MS and dementia. Unfortunately I have not been able to speak to her about my practice. But I have become more connected with her through my meditations. I also have begun to realize how much my mother used Silva in her life. For as long as I can remember, my mother never experienced pain, shakes or other typical MS symptoms; in fact the doctors never really treated her for MS.  It is now after talking to other family members and really observing the past that I know that my mother used Silva to control her disease.

My own practice has really excelled the healing of myself and of others. I can remember as a child I was exceptional at healing. I have used it now to heal injuries I get from dance class- I had a huge bruise on my ankle and after to 20 minute sessions- the bruise was a tiny mark.  I have been able to accelerate the healing of some of my mom’s bedsores and my dad’s recent skin graft from skin cancer.

Also as I child I was exceptional as ESP or psychic understandings. This gift has gotten more intuitive and better over the last several months. I can feel when my mother is in pain and I can feel when another friend (a man) is thinking about me. Coincidences are popping up everywhere! Recently I saw a friend’s name in my phone’s contact list- even though I don’t have her phone number and within minutes I received an email from her.  This is so exciting :) !

I also have used visualization to help me learn to give myself my B12 shots. When I learned that I would have to have shots; I was terrified at the prospect of sticking myself with a one inch long needle. I visualized myself giving myself the shots in my leg without being afraid and with a few weeks I had become an old pro.

I will say that it is remarkable how many of the techniques I remembered from childhood, even though it has been over 20 years ago.  I have really enjoyed listening to Laura’s advanced lessons, there are some things I didn’t learn as a child.  I’ve used the glass of water technique to work through a relationship issue and it’s worked!

My favorite is the mirror of the mind.  I used it to get rid of my asthma. I was diagnosed as an adult and I use the white mirror to picture my lungs with open, healthy and pink airways. I haven’t used my inhaler in 4 months.

Silva has brought so many good things into my life. I could go on and on. I think the greatest testimonial I have though is that I have shared Silva with several friends. And isn’t that the best endorsement; telling others how to help themselves?

Thank you, Stacey DeHay

Stories and experiences like Stacy’s remind me why I love my job. Also reminds me of my father Jose Silva who discovered the Silva Method. Stories like these make all his years of work and research live on.

Also I hope Stacy’s story inspires you to take back control of your own life.

Better and Better,

Laura
