"The following is an extract from an article on the Silva Method program in the Washington Post titled "Tripping Through the Twilight Zone". The correspondent describes his experiences with ESP in the Silva Method class.

"But diagnosing people I knew amazed me less than my own diagnosing of others. In the case of a 94 year old man, I saw his eyes beside his head and said that meant he was losing his eyesight (he had glaucoma). I found myself literally asking him if anything else was wrong. I can’t explain it, but I actually thought I heard him say, “I can’t eat.” His grandson, who had given me the case, said the old man was constantly losing his false teeth and complaining about what he had to eat when he didn’t have them.

Neither problem, to be sure, would be an unlikely occurrence. What surprised me more was my strong (and correct) feeling that he was otherwise in excellent health, free of heart trouble, arthritis, circulatory ailments, intestinal problems or motor difficulties. I missed that he was senile.

During the case of a boy with speech defects caused by brain damage, my tongue lolled in my mouth, my right eye twitched--the subject’s exact symptoms. A hysterectomy appeared to me as an abdominal tube with a ribbon bow on it. A couple of times I could accurately describe the people involved, including acne scars and age blotches; a cigar smoker appeared puffing on one.

I wonder if any of the “help” sent was received. And I find the thought that I am wondering it, when before I would have rejected the possibility out of hand, amazing.

What does it all mean to me now, two weeks later? I haven’t taken an aspirin and my weight is now under 175 lbs. for the first time in four years. I think I’m sleeping better. But no miracles. I’ve had only marginal success with a technique touted by some graduates for turning traffic lights green and finding parking places...

...When a former classmate called and asked if I’d be interested in following up on my mind control by joining a “graduate group,” I said I would."

"Since taking the course in 1971-72 and for years and years later, Jose Silva, provided decades of life lessons that are not only empowering, but are family memories and life saving and changing experiences.

Although many of us were medically trained to care for injured, it was always amazing, that often times the injured were handed over to my father. I left the family at her bedside and brought them back and put them on her. An instant calm and a last Showing especially to my father that she loved him, and no words needed to be spoken.

My father eventually lost both of his legs, and although he was a muscular 200 pounds, if he fell, and needed to be picked up, I felt it and was on my way over to his house, and somehow, we were able to get him off of the floor. (my weight limit is 5-10 pounds that I can lift) and yet I was able to lift him and get him to safety.

When others twice my age, were concerned about doing it, I started my own business. Without Jose's training's I would have been too frightened to jump off of the mountain. Now I am not saying there were not frightening times, but I got through them because I believed I could and because I knew I was working with integrity.

Jose's unwavering integrity was a huge source of learning, and serve me well, along with my Catholic upbringing."

"My goal for embarking on the Silva life system was to heal a health challenge and to open up my intuitive channels more. I started listening to the cd's about two weeks ago and completed the last one today. I'm a very busy single parent with a busy professional life and thought it would take me a lot longer to do. I figured I'd only get to one cd a week, but once I started I found myself really eager to get back to them. I covered the 10 cd's in 14 days and at times I was listening to them at 10:00pm because that was the first opportunity during the day that I had to listen to them. I found the creation of my laboratory and my counselors so interesting. I've been using the bonus night and morning meditations daily and I love them. I love my laboratory and feel comforted by my counselors.

I feel I need to re-listen to the cd's again as there's so much to take in so I am going to re-listen again over the next 10 days. So far this has been an eye-opening journey. The major benefit I have gained so far is that I am sleeping very well at night (something I struggled with before) and I have woken at precisely the time I programmed my internal clock for the last 8 days. That was pretty exciting for me. I can't wait to see what else I can create.

Yes I would and I have. I think each person will gain something different from the system, but whatever the person gains I believe it will be beneficial to his/her life.

I find the practical techniques very useful. I've listened to, read about and seen many self-help material, but most of the time there were loads of concepts with little how-to. The Silva system has been fabulous in helping me use specific techniques to program my mind, body and spirit. I've found the three fingers technique really great and have been using it throughout my day, sometimes just to remind myself to access that deeper level and be still. Usually my performance at whatever task I'm engaged in is a lot easier and much better when I use this technique.

So far I think the Silva life system is powerful and very useful. At the moment I'm re-listening to the material and feel I need to apply it over a period to see it's long-term benefits. But I am really enjoying it and already noticing a heightened intuition, excellent sleep at night and I'm waking up before the alarm clock at my pre-programmed time."

"I have been using the Silva method for over two years now, when I realized that something was wrong in my marriage I used the method twice to get answers, the first time I got my answers in two days, a little voice told me to look in my ex-wives car for my camera, I discovered some very interesting stuff that pointed that she was having an affair. I have grown spiritually and I will never look back, I have also discovered that we do not have to work so hard to accomplish our dreams, the universe is here to assist us in every way. Just Ask and you will Receive. The Silva method, the law of attraction, Robin Sharma’s examples are just some of the methods that is now part of my life and I use it on a daily basis. A new world has opened for me and I am still discovering.

"My goal for using the Silva Life System was to regain control over my life. I had taken the Basic Seminar in 1971, at that time I was 13 years old. The system helped me in school and in my skills of interacting with others. I had a life experience, which changed my living situation. It was the teachings of José Silva that helped me to survive. I had lost touch with the Silva people for almost 40 years. In the past three months, the Silva Life System has come to my attention seven times. It did not take me long before I decided it was time to reconnect with this system.

Since using the SLS home study course, and putting into daily practice the methods the following things have changed and improved in my life.

1. I sleep and then awaken rested and rejuvenated.

2. I have manifested more clients in my practice.

The scenario came in a dream telling me the best way to approach the problem. After following the dream exactly, my neighbor, and I settled a long time dispute.

Third, I discovered six limiting beliefs, and in my dream was shown the root of these beliefs. Going to level, I went into my Lab. to work with my Counselors. My Counselors helped me go back to the originating belief and then clear it, and then replaced it with a healthier belief. The behaviors that were spawned by that belief system have changed, according to my wife, she can tell a huge difference in how I handle life.

6. I am more aware of my body and how it reacts to stress. I respond to this reaction by going to level and informing the body it is not in danger. After doing this, I notice my heart rate slowing, my stomach relaxing and my breathing returning to normal, deep, rhythmic breaths.

7. My intuition has increased. I sense the needs of my wife, children, friends and others that I meet quickly and accurately. My twenty-six years of being married is feeling like we just began our journey together again. My adult children are amazed at how responsive and how attentive I have been to them in the past couple of months.

8. A book that I have been writing for ten years has come to life, and new inspiration has been flowing in as I write.

All these changes in just two short months. I practice fifteen minutes, three times per day. I have used the twin mirrors and other techniques for problem solving. The sleep and wake up tools work fantastically for me, it is a joy to wake up without the noise of an alarm clock or radio.

Yes, I have already recommended this system to five friends. I have done so because of the benefits that I have noticed in just two short months of practicing the techniques fifteen minutes per day three times per day, every day has made a huge difference in how I feel and how I see life. I believe that if people want to make easy, practical and real changes to their lives; I strongly recommend this program and the life seminars. We are more than what we are taught that we are, and for this reason it is time to live a life of purpose. This program is so simple and down to earth, yet it is very powerful, because of this fact I have and will continue to recommend this system to my friends and people that I meet who are feeling stuck in life.
